Located in the northern outskirts of Great Yarmouth, North Denes began operating as a GA airfield some time around 1950. With the growth in oil drilling platforms in the North Sea, helicoptor flying began in 1965 with Bristow Helicoptors. After several changes of ownership, operations gradually moved to Norwich Airport and the heliport was planned to close in 2011. Those plans fell through but the heliport finally closed on 31 March 2015.
I have recreated EGSD mainly for use in FSEconomy. As well as the helipads I have added 4 GA parking spots.
I look forward to trying this tonight, my dad was an engineer there for many years. A Bristow helicopters Bell 206 on a pad would be perfect as she was his baby 😁

Good old G-AVII, I was brought up around Bond Helicopters/Scotia during my childhood thanks to a family member.

Why is the runway blue? Doesn't look that colour on Google Maps.

To be frank it is irrelevant how the runways look in Google maps. The sim does not use Google maps. I tried to match the runway to the surrounding grass in the sim. If you sample the surrounding grass you get a hex value of approximately colour="#1a4752" (RGB values : Red 26, Green 71, Blue 82)
I used an amended Asobo grass texture which, whilst it varies slightly along the length of the runway, approximates to colour="#606a73" (RGB values : Red 96, green 106, Blue 115). Similar but enough to differentiate the runways from their surrounds.
To my eye it could be a cut version of the surrounding grass.
I hope that explains the colour of the runways.
