Instructions:
1.) Go to your community folder.
2.) Go to your no-pod caravan mod, go to this "\Cessna 208 B Grand Caravan EX - No Pod - Parorng\SimObjects\Airplanes\parorng_C208-nopod" file directory.
3.) Copy the cockpit, engines, and flight_model files into the directory shown above, Windows will prompt you if you want to replace the files in the directory,
click "Replace the files in the destination"
Now you should have an improved No-Pod Caravan!
Original No-Pod Caravan by: Parong on flightsim.to (https://flightsim.to/file/15086/cessna-208-b-grand-caravan-ex-no-pod)
flight_model and engines .cfg's were originally made by dgtlanlg, Exp232, SheepCreativeSoftware on flightsim.to (https://flightsim.to/file/8060/cessna-208b-grand-caravan-ex-improvement-mod)
although I made some adaptations to it.
Thanks to guymanperson11 for helping me take screenshots
If any of the original authors have a problem with this mod please contact me and I can remove it.
Improvements:
More control while taxiing.
Tighter turning circle.
More realistic idle behavior, lower fuel burn.
Higher thrust and greater braking force, allowing for short field ops.
Improved flight characteristics, more realistic climb, increased drag on approach, and less float on landing.
More accurate cruise performance.
The plane won't beep when slightly overspeeding.
What airport is that you are flying out of in your photos?

could you just join and make a common project. The easier it is to use the more people will use it. This way... mod of a mod... hard to follow which version on top of which version...
For example, you have 1.1 and older version is... 1.1... Confusion starts from one single mod already...

I am not the creator of the no-pod caravan, and I'm not sure how I would feel about just combining the two mods. The beauty of an improvement mod is that it gives the user an option if they want the stock flight model or the modified version, there is a drastic difference between the two. The reason the version is screwed up is that I made a mistake trying to publish an update, it's not really that confusing.

Always grateful to hear of improvements but it would be helpful for us to know what the improvements are before we download. Can you assist by detailing what the improvements are?

Actually this is quite the compliment, when my mod gets a mod! Thanks! 😀
All good, as long as we download the No Pod directly then modify the dynamics, as it will be much easier for me to manage updates etc. especially with Asobo now finally working on the turboprop stuff. Hopefully they'll get some ideas!
This will let me concentrate more on the modelling side of things.
Gonna give this a spin now to see what you've improved!

What if you do not have the original "No Pod Mod"? Is the original a prerequisite for your mod or will your mod stand alone?

Download the no pod version first, then follow the instructions above.
