9WN2 - Voyager Village Airstrip - Webster, WI
Voyager Village is a private VFR airfield in the woods of Northwest Wisconsin. It is situated on a resort with a restaurant. It is the perfect place to fly for a $100 hamburger (and I know a person who has done it multiple times from Twin Cities, MN airports). It was recently repaved in July 2021 and this scenery package will update it to photos of the new look. I haven't ever visited this location but am familar with the area having visted a camp a few miles east of this location numerous times. Looks like a great place to fly in, play a round of golf, get something to eat and then fly out.
About the airport:
3500' x 50' paved runway (repaved in July 2021)
Displaced thresholds on both ends (tree obstructions)
Low intensity runway lighting
Modifications:
Runway texture changed to reflect the newly paved surface
Painted lines added with painted airport name
Golf course updated to make the fairways stand out.
Aprons added for some of the resort locations like the club house and cart paths
Terraforming when adding some bunkers
Tennis court updated to make it stand out more
Hangars added for the handful of locations on the airport where they exist (Hangar from the colinj library as the colors matched better than default asobo hangars. Credit to the object creator!)
Helipad markings added to match Photos
Installation:
Extract the airport and paste to your Community folder.
And, as always, enjoy flying in Minnesota! (or Wisconsin...close enough)

Wow, I've landed here many times. I used to take dates there for a round of golf and a burger (I was even a member at the golf course). I know it well (and it's in my old childhood stomping grounds). Thanks for the work on this. I'm looking forward to giving it a go. Greetings from Mankato!

Awesome! Great to hear when someone has real world experience with the field. I was just up nearby today picking up my kids from camp a few miles east of airfield. Love the woods up there. Thanks for commenting! And greetings from Coon Rapids, hope the smoke isn't as thick down there as it is here.

Excellent....sporty little airport to get into (or so I've heard never landed there myself).

Agreed that this place looks like fun. The displaced thresholds have a definite purpose here; plenty of trees on both ends. The website has a fun read with special procedures for golf carts to cross the runway. The golf rules also state that you can't play your ball off the runway. Seems like a smart rule! I don't think I've seen a place quite like it!

Nice work, thank you for sharing with us! Although, it suddenly made me feel very old. Your description made me realize that $20 constituted the most expensive hamburger I ever had as a teenager. Reminds me a bit about about how they discuss the $5 milkshake in the movie Pulp Fiction as if it were the most ridiculous thing in the world... now all I wanna do is taste the C-note burger!

Thanks for the comment. I suppose I should clarify as not everyone may get the aviation slang: https://aviationhumor.net/hundred-dollar-hamburger/
The $100 dollar hamburger is a reference to flying from your base to another airport to eat at their restaurant and fly back to base. Cost of fuel and/or airplane rental would make up the majority of the cost. I agree though, I wonder what a true C-note burger would taste like! Now you've got me wondering...
I just looked up the menu @VoyagerVillage and it appears the priciest burger I can find is US $13. Not too bad I suppose!
