Download and you will get a zip file
Extract it and you will see a exe file name: MSFS2020 Map Enhancement Setup 5.x.x
Double click it to trigger installation, please keep the default installation path.
You will see a "MSFS2020 Map Enhancement" icon appear on your desktop
Before start MSFS2020, open the mod and allow it run in administrator mode
Choose the map and click "Start Flying"
You will see the "Runtime Info" show and it will refresh automatically when you are in-game
Start your MFSF2020 and enjoy.
Close MSFS2020 and close this mod (It should automatically return to bing map for the next run)

Used this past weekend for a flight from KIAH to KLAS and the views were amazing! Flying around Honolulu however I still saw Google watermarks in some of the imagery. Not the app developers fault but it still ruins the experience hence one less star. New interface is amazing. very well done!

Hello. With any settings on any server, I get just bare soapy surface textures in the game. It doesn't matter which cache, it doesn't matter how long I wait for the download, it's just an ugly picture. It doesn't work for me/

First of all thanks a lot for this great addon. Now I got a little problem since version 5.0.9: when starting the enhancer the image servers fails at first. After I stop the mod and starting again it works fine. I did not had this with the previous versions. Is there any help for that. Thankyou.

Not enough bandwidth to properly stream photogrammetry message can be fixed in task manager, just give the add on and python real time priority.

You should ask around and try to solve the issue with the community before dumping a bad rating. It's literally one of the most essential mods for thousands of us.

hmmm, i get now green red textures when using google maps. with standard bing there is no problem. and yes, i have newest nvidia driver installed- maybe somebody had the same issues and knows how to fix it ? otherways great mod.

Hi, try to use the ArcGis mode. For me it seems much better an even more up -to-date.

Have tried this multiple times and different versions and to this day I still have not been able to get it to work. Shame, as I would like to try it. I have referred to the website to solve the "hosts" issue but nothing so far has worked. This is the only addon that does not work for me.

Same here, the last working Version for me is 3.24. Since then there is always a problem with the image server. My internet connection is fast, i´v tried it with Firewall and AV off and even with a clean install.

I don't write comments very often. If then mostly for two reasons:

A: The add-on is absolutely perfect and ingenious

B: The add-on is absolute crap

In this case, a clear A! I just made two test flights over my home zone (with and without Google), which I also know quite well from the air by flying drones. With the Google Maps textures, the streets are extremely sharp and everything looks even more real! And that without losing significantly any FPS.

I am really more than impressed. Thanks for creating and your work, Derek!

I think this update is a failed one. During auto update the update app said the app itself is still started and it cannot stop it. After manual download and install it said the same thing. I clicked on ignore now the app says port 443 is in use and will not work.

For clearing the cache, I get an error. Restarting the mod won't fix it. Shall I just delete the cache folders manually?

* Add privacy options to allow disable remote log collecting
* Remove mtx data handling from runtime server to improve photogrammetry data loading

Start the application with no sandbox by default to fix GPU-related issues.

For who has crashed installation, please update and try:
* Updated electron package to the latest version, don't know if it can fix the crash issue.
* Please try it and give me feedback. Your help is really needed to improve this software and future releases. I can't reproduce this problem so I had to try different things.

The crash is related to a GPU issue. Please make sure you have the latest display driver installed.

If it doesn't work, please follow the following steps:

* Open Command Prompt in windows
* navigate to installation folder using cd command: cd "C:\Program Files\MSFS2020 Map Enhancement"
* run the exe file with --no-sandbox: ".\MSFS2020 Map Enhancement.exe" --no-sandbox

If still crashes, please report an issue here:

with these details:
* screenshots of the command line window
* your hardware and software configuration: CPU, GPU, GPU driver version, is notebook, windows version (run systeminfo.exe in command prompt)
