Background on this particular jet:
On 18 June 2017, a United States Navy F/A-18E shot down a Syrian Air Force Su-22 Fitter with an AIM-120 AMRAAM missile after it reportedly attacked Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces positions in the town of Ja'Din.
Notably, It was the first time the U.S. shot down a manned aircraft since 1999 and the first with the F/A-18E variant.
This repaint is the depiction of the FIRST RHINO to shoot down a manned adversary aircraft. The jet sports the kill markings and various other strike carried out by this particular jet during OIR/OIF/OEF.
As Always, GO NAVY!!!!

YOU ARE Awesome!! I would love more NAS Lamoore A/C and VX-9 Vampire's. I live vary close to NAWS Point Mugu in CA. I see VX-9 A/C heading out China Lake that go right over my house and we also host Naval Squadrons from Lamoore. I love to reenact the same flights. THANKS So Much! BTW, Son of a NAVY Vet.

Thank you! Yes, very familiar with Point Mugu. Beautiful area right at the coast compared to Lemoore. Some NAS Lemoore I'm going to be working on will be VFA-137, and 151. First I got to finish 25 and 115 in the near term before I move onto those. VFA-137 will be the new CAG Bird livery.
