Flysimware Cessna C414 Chancellor - Grey Interior

Beige and white cockpits are something I really don't like. So I decided to change the Chancellors interior to a more modern looking grey with darker seats. I also removed some of the most obvious scratches from the the seat leather without compromising the used look. I also removed the mirror on the back of the aircraft and replaced it with a normal wall.

Since mod V 3.1 panel colour and interior have been split into separate mods. So this way you can combine two different interior versions with three different panel versions:

Interior:
- Grey Interior with standard side panels (Main File)
- Grey Interior with grey side panels (C414 Chancellor - Grey Interior with Grey Side Panels)
Special thanks to Bony for the idea with the dark side panel!

Instrument Panel Colours:
- Black Panel (C414 Chancellor - Black Instrument Panel)
- Grey Panel (C414 Chancellor - Grey Instrument Panel)
- default panel (no download necessary)

Installation:
Just drag and drop into your Community folder

Known Issue since Flysimware C414 V2.1:
the mirror on the aft bulkhead seems to be hard-coded now. While I can still change the texture, there seems to be pane of glass over the bulkhead now. So far I haven't found a way around that.

Please note:

Since the plane is still in Beta, the workload to incorporate small changes in the textures each time a new update comes out is too high. For some files even small detail changes would mean I'd have to start from scratch. So I will leave it this way as long as it doesn't break anything serious like the instruments. When the Beta is over I plan to update the mod so that all the changes are included.

In the meantime: if you notice anything breaking, please drop me a PM.

works fine here. Try putting a "z" before the folder name. That put's it to the back of the loading order. In case you still have problems please contact me via a PM.

Such a great update for such a great plane. This has been my favorite since initial beta release so thank you for upgrading some textures. Makes it a bit nicer on long night IFR flights across the seas.

I downloaded the dark gray panel and put it in my community folder. I don't see any change. What am I doing wrong?

It has to be loaded after the plane itself. This is done alphabetically. I normally name my folder in such a way, that this is the case. But if it doesn't work, just take my folder and put a 'z' in front of it so it reads: "zflysimware-cessna-414a-greyint+darkpanel"

The Cessna 414AW Chancellor Beta 1.3 is released. Some texturing items and gauges changed. Will have to see if any mod still works like intended.

Was just about to ask if this is compatible with the 1.3 beta. I don't have time to do my own testing/feedback until tomorrow but if anyone could comment if this needs an update, that would be great. I'll avoid using it for now to be on the safe side.

Apparently quite a few textures got tweaks.

Ok, I checked. The main differences I found with the V1.3 textures are superficial details. So this version of my mod is still compatible but will not include the new details.

Since the plane is still in Beta the workload to incorporate small changes like that each time a new update comes out, is too high. For some files even small changes like that mean I have to start from scratch and I cannot do that every few days. So I will leave it this way as long as it doesn't break anything serious like the instruments.

You the man, my friend! It felt good knowing somebody else was bothered by mirrored panel. I know this was a 1970s design, but still, it's a plane and not a bordello. All it was missing to complete the seedy motel look was slots for the quarters that made the chairs vibrate, shag carpeting, and the ability to rent by the hour. Thank you for bringing this den of inequity into the 21st Century!

I'm a child of the 70s as well. I thought maybe I was being a bit too hard the interior, but then I noticed the giant perfect handprint on the windshield. The only time I ever accomplished a print like that was after steaming up the windows with my girlfriend at the drive-in movies. Granted there are no drive-ins for Cessna's, but maybe the developers are trying to recreate Larry Flynt's private plane. Anyway, can you possibly work your magic on the handprint?

Yeah, I'd love a windshield that is still well 'loved' with some scratches and marks here and there but without the extreme amount wear the current offering has.

This is a godsend already, thank you so much for working on it this quickly. I much prefer the colour tone here to the default. Is there any chance of you working on other different 'modern' grey tones? I'd love to have some variety as well.

Not really. You could honestly do a nice taupe/neutral color seat and do the black panel and it would look good too, keeping the carpet the current color it is.
