Full airport reconstruction

The airport is now operational with continuing updates

Installing updated versions for EGKK and Best way to clear your cache and get rid of old data indexes.Manual Cache not recommended, best to let fs2020 automatically manage.

1) Delete the older version 'gatwick' from community folder
2) Start fs2020 and spawn to default Gatwick
3) Close Fs2020 and install New version into community folder as 'gatwick'
4) Open fs2020

This method will solve the problem of scenery not appearing, or overlapping models

ONLY GATES are serviced by Jetways. Even if you are on a Left side stand, and it looks closer if its a RAMP position the jetway will not move, instead call for steps.

Install Guide

Download zip and open.

Drag or extract from zip into community folder as the folder name 'gatwick' Do not drag a new update into an older gatwick version. It must be deleted and the updated version extracted/dragged into the community folder

I have also included my own GSX profiles and have included in the Zip file.

Only one can be used at any one time, including the fine examples from other GSX profile creators.

I am making aircraft type specific GSX configs. These will be updated with every Gatwick update

The location for profiles on my pc is (windows store version of msfs)
Local Disk C\Users\mkvy(my PC name)\AppData\Roaming\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS

only one .ini must be in there at any one time.. remove any that are there and paste the .ini file, not the folder

When spawning at a position always REPOSITION with GSX so you are in the right config. Only one GSX profile can be used at one time. Take your pick from other profile creators as i'm sure they will be updated and go deeper into setups as there should be no major changes just tweaks.

Fantastic work. I have finally ditched my Origami version of EGKK (as doesnt seem to be supported) , and testing your EGKK 2023 upgrade. Given it 5 stars ! However... I have SU13 and FSLTL running , and I am not seeing many aircraft take off on 26L. They seem to stop and wait, then turn left and disappear, or disappear while waiting (saw about 1 in 10 taking off over the period of an hour). For the few that did take off, they seem to taxi a long way down the runway before they started accelerating (as if the blast marking area is further up the runway) . Also the aircraft landing on 26L are landing after the last touch down marker (aiming point). A real shame, as seemed to be ok when testing last night when taking off from 08R. (I use live weather).

Hi,
I have found some flickering textures in some parts of this lovely scenery. What do I have to do to avoid that situation? Please see the picture that I uploaded.
Apart from that, I can clearly consider the scenery is a master piece.

I was directed to gate 24 today asked for the bridge it wasn't visible , there was a big square hole in wall but no bridge same on gate 25, keep up the great work on this fantastic airport

Very good looking addon. Departing it's lovely and smooth, no issues whatsoever, but when arriving it's an absolute stutter fest, especially in the Fenix. Some stutters can be as long as 2 minutes long. Just flown into Origami EGKK and there were absolutely 0 stutters whatsoever, so maybe something to try and look at? Payware quality for freeware, but with some performance limitations and optimisation needed for it to be a 5/5.

First of all, I love this airport. But I got an issue inthat flying in the vicinity of it, my sim keeps freezing for a couple of seconds, before shaking the plane and continuing as normal. First, I thought that's a scenery issue with a WU or something and didn't bother to check. This issue has been there for months, so not related to any of the latest updates.
I'm currently flying into Heathrow a lot though, and so this happens almost every flight.
So, I tried flying now with the airport uninstalled and every other addon turned on and I could fly by without any problem. I then turned the airport on and all other addons off, and the freeze reappeared. Is there something that I did wrong or are others having the same problem?
I would hate to not use this airport, but these freeze are kind of annoying, especially when flying on Vatsim.

Yeah it depends on how the Ai network is feeling. I did see that the Ai simulation will be better in FS2024

Hi, I was pushing back with your profile (onto Lemur, under the bridge, from the easyJet stands) and the pushback stopped slanted and none of the wheels were on the centreline.
I was about to crash into the gates behind me. Just a thing I’m pointing out.
Personally, I think it be good if you made a discord 😊

Yeah i have not done any pushback profiles but you can easily create your own using the gsx editor to make everything perfect.

Is this mod better than the Oragmi EGKK? I am running a 3090Ti and for some reason I lag at EGKK.

Definately the latest hardware completely shreds it without any problem! The textures are 99% 1024x1024

New version has really bad fps and everything is flickering

have you disabled GSX jetways for custom airports?

New to flight sim updates. In your loading instructions you state:
"2) Start fs2020 and spawn to default Gatwick"

Aware you need to start the sim but what is meant by "spawn to Gatwick" Do I simply set up a flight using gatwick as a departure point?

Yes just like that. But only if you are updating to a newer version of this addon. If its the first time should be aa easy as dragging the gatwick folder into the community folder
