Desert Dream - City of Dreams
The second father-daughter project after Frankfurt Zoo which is available here:
Frankfurt Zoo - post apocalyptic version
Time for another fantasy in the flightsim world. Lord Lonely an eccentric billionaire tried to escape mankind. Since he is a lover of the desert he chose a lonely spot in southern Libya to build his city of dreams. He likes to travel and see the world but since he prefers to be alone, he had his favourite buildings from around the world built into his city. Be it pyramids, a 1,000 + meter version of Dudj Dubai or the Statue of Liberty. You will find it in his new hometown.
In order to keep out humans of any kind, he had a massive city wall built. The entrances are guarded by genetically modified bollog dogs. For convenient travel he has his own airport but the runway is marked as closed to keep anyone but himself from landing. Since he is rather short sighted, he has quite a massive visual landing system installed.
For the occasional space travel he keeps his own space shuttle.
Unfortunately nasty mankind could not be kept out permanently. The little ugly creatures found their way into the city and are now roaming around his most beautiful landmarks. His trusty dog Rufus occasionally grabs the Lord's Pitts and flies around the city, ignoring any aviation rules. Watch his exploits in the video down below (available soon).
Desert Dream, the city where everything is possible - except for boredom! Beware of the occasional predator animal and keep out of the labyrinth! Otherwise go and explore all the little details. Some are hidden in buildings. And don't forget to visit the dinosaur zoo.
The airport has no parking spots as nobody is supposed to park here. There is a terminal but no gates. You know why.
Start at Ghat airport (HLGT) at a runway starting point or fly in from where ever you like. Try a smaller plane at first. The visual landing system is not for everyone!
Installation
Unzip the file into your community folder. Make sure, you have all World Updates installed. Add the dependencies listed below. There are quite a few. Many of them account for only one or two objects so you won't miss much if you don't have them all.
