I served 13 years in the USAF, including participation in Desert Storm as an airborne radio operator on the E-3 AWAC (963rd Sq). I separated from the USAF with a Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, and Aerial Achievement Medal with 40+ O9 flights on the E-3. I retired with 26 years total government service (military/civilian), and trust me it's true, you don't get rich working for the government but do garner a lot of war stories. I'm also an electronics/computer technician and private pilot. I've been flying simulators since the days of the Commodore 64 (now I'm telling my age) and probably won't stop until my hands turn grey and stiff while holding a yoke or stick.
